Your Dentist Knows Best
Don’t rush when you brush!
2 minutes is the minimum to ensure your teeth are getting a thorough clean, invest in a good electric toothbrush that oscillates!
Visit your dentist once every 6 months
Regular visits to your dentist will help keep your dental hygiene in check. Ensuring that tartar is cleaned from between the teeth, reducing the chance of gum problems.
Don’t Forget to Floss!
Flossing at least once a day will keep the areas between your teeth clean and free of debris and bacteria.

Dr Ashraf Obaid
Dentist
Ash has been part of the MHP Dental team since 2008, bringing 25+ years of clinical experience since qualifying in Sheffield, England in 1999. With a special interest in removable prosthetics, Ash offers a broad range of treatments including anti-wrinkle injections, orthodontic treatment and cosmetic dentistry. Patients know Ash for his straightforward, reassuring approach and his commitment to staying current with the latest techniques in modern dentistry. He takes time to explain each step of treatment clearly, which nervous patients in particular tend to appreciate — there are no surprises in the chair.
Dr Madeleine La
Dentist
Dr Madeleine La brings a warm, patient-centred approach to every appointment. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in Queensland and has built her experience across dental hospitals in Cairns, Townsville and Tasmania before joining MHP Dental. Madeleine has a particular love for treating families and takes real care in helping children build positive, confident relationships with dental visits from an early age. Her interests span cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics and paediatric care, and she’s fluent in English, Cantonese, and conversational Mandarin — helping put a wider range of patients at ease. Madeleine is well-practised in working with anxious children and adults alike, using a calm, patient pace to help nervous visitors feel genuinely comfortable in the chair.
Dr Louise Kemp
Dentist
Dr Louise Kemp brings a well-rounded clinical background to the practice, having first qualified in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in Edinburgh (graduating with First Class Honours) before completing her dental degree at the University of Aberdeen. She has since practised across both the UK and Australia, developing particular interests in periodontal treatment, children’s dentistry, and preventative care. Louise is especially valued by anxious patients for her gentle, unhurried manner — her goal is always a healthy smile and a comfortable experience getting there.
Dr Mamata Maharjan
Dentist
Dr Mamata Maharjan is a compassionate, experienced general dentist who has spent the past decade providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. She places a strong emphasis on preventative and conservative dentistry, always working to help patients maintain their oral health for the long term.
Mamata has particular expertise in root canal treatment and clear aligner orthodontics, and is well regarded by patients and colleagues alike for her skill in both areas. She’s especially known for her caring, easygoing manner — Mamata has a genuine passion for helping nervous patients overcome dental anxiety, and takes the time to create a calm, reassuring environment for anyone who finds the dentist stressful.
Outside the practice, Mamata treasures time with her family and loves reading and travelling to new places.
Ewa Manikowska
Dental Nurse
A familiar and much-loved face at MHP Dental, Evie has supported patients and the clinical team for nearly 20 years. Known for her warmth, quick wit and genuine care, she has a knack for putting nervous patients at ease from the moment they walk in — often the friendly face that turns a stressful visit into a relaxed one — and a well-known love of good food to chat about while she’s at it.

The friendly dentists there will attend to your immediate issue and we can then remedy things on a more permanent basis once we see you.
